
Light and design as discussion topics at the professionals’ day in Helsinki at Pohjoisesplanade.
The Light Day event, held in Helsinki on 18 February 2016, was a discussion of the light. The panel of architectural, lighting and interior design professionals discussed, among other things, the importance of light for accessibility in public spaces and the role of Finnish design products in Finland and worldwide.
The discussion included Professor, architect Matti Rautiola, founder of Helsinki Design Week Kari Korkman, Managing Director of Avaava Oy, Terhi Tamminen, Accessibility Expert, Tarja Ervasti Light Designer, Esa Vesmanen, Interior Designer Esa Vesmanen. The moderator was Marco Marco Steinberg, Snowcone & Haystack.
At the event, the Finom wood lights designed by interior designer Esa Vesmasen were introduced. More than 100 professionals attended the Day of Light.
